Genwealth 360 Research Institute™

Research the
system beneath physician wealth.

High income is easy to see. The architecture underneath it is not. The Genwealth 360 Research Institute™ is being built to study the forces that shape physician financial freedom: tax, liquidity, ownership, clinical dependence, protection, retirement readiness and legacy.

Research and educational intelligence only. No unpublished population-level findings are represented as established facts.

The Research Question

What actually separates a high-earning physician from a financially independent one?

The Institute begins with a simple premise: physician wealth cannot be understood through portfolio balance alone. The complete system includes how income is taxed, how capital remains liquid, what the physician owns, how dependent the household remains on clinical labor, how risk is contained and how the architecture transitions into retirement and legacy.

Our research program is designed to make those relationships more visible, measurable and discussable—without reducing complex financial lives to a single product or generic benchmark.

Research Programs

Four programs.
One physician wealth system.

Each program studies a different pressure inside the architecture. Together, they create the foundation for original reports, educational briefs, future datasets and physician-specific benchmarks.

02RESEARCH AGENDA

Clinical Labor Dependence

Examining how much of a physician household's financial system still requires the physician to personally keep producing clinical income.

03RESEARCH AGENDA

Financial Fragmentation™

Studying the coordination gap created when multiple competent professionals make isolated decisions without one shared financial operating map.

Tax Drag & Capital Retention

Exploring how tax treatment, sequencing and structural friction influence how much economic output survives and becomes deployable capital.

The Physician Wealth Data Room™

From opinion to
observable architecture.

The long-term research model is designed to move beyond anecdotes. As legitimate survey and benchmark data is collected, the Institute can publish clearly labeled findings by physician segment, career stage and financial architecture dimension.

  • Employed vs. practice-owner architecture
  • Specialty-level financial pressure
  • Clinical-income dependence
  • Liquidity and ownership patterns
  • Tax-planning behavior
  • Retirement optionality
  • Legacy coordination

2026–2027 Research Agenda

Questions worth
measuring properly.

01

How dependent are high-income physicians on active clinical labor?

02

How often do physicians have multiple advisors but no shared financial operating map?

03

Which architecture dimensions create the largest gap between income and optionality?

04

How do practice owners differ from employed physicians in liquidity, ownership and transition readiness?

05

How does financial architecture change as physicians approach retirement or practice exit?

06

Which physician specialties experience the greatest structural complexity?

For Media, Associations & Professional Partners

Need physician wealth
research or commentary?

The Institute is designed to support physician associations, media, podcasts and professional partners with clearly sourced educational research and architecture-focused commentary as original data becomes available.

Genwealth 360 Research Institute™

Make physician wealth
more measurable.

Research should not create more noise. It should make the financial architecture easier to see, question and improve.

Research Tool // Tax Drag + Capital Retention

Turn tax drag into a
capital-retention question.

Use an illustrative scenario model to see how modeled tax friction changes retained capital and the amount of capital potentially available for redeployment.
